1. Hoop the fabric with a stabilizer.
2. Embroider the design until it completes the outline stitches. Figure 1
3. Heat apply the precut applique. Figure 2
4. Sew the tackdown stitches. Check to make sure that the fabric is under the tackdown stitches. Figure 3
5. Continue sewing the design. Figure 4

Designs may have multiple appliques. Repeat steps 2-4.

Outline - A running line that defines the applique’s shape.

Tackdown - A running line that will stitch inside the outline to tack down the fabric.
