Different fabrics, different backings, and different hooping techniques govern how well
a design will apply. We recommend running a test sewout of the design using fabric and
backing similar to what the final application will be. On rare occasions, one may
experience difficulty in getting the detail lines to outline properly. Consider using
the editing capabilities in the computer embroidery software program to move the fill
stitches and /or detail lines. Learning this editing technique is perhaps the greatest
favor an embroiderer can do for themselves. With just a little practice, one can become
quite proficient at this procedure. Save the edited version to a floppy disk or computer
hard drive. Never copy over the original data. Experiment. Take the time, if necessary,
to adjust the design to fit the specific fabric application.
