When sewing on fabrics with a nap, such as towels, corduroy, sweaters, sweatshirts,
and knits, applying a layer of water-soluble product on top of the area to be
embroidered will help prevent stitches from sinking into such fabrics. Sandwiching
the fabric layer between the backing and the topping, then hooping it all together
in the hoop, will help stabilize the fabric.
