Using Dakota Collectibles Collection CD's With the Janome 11000 Embroidery Machine
The most effective way to use a Dakota Collectibles Collection CD on the Janome 11000 machine with the external CD drive is to burn the JEF folder to
a CD. Another option is to copy the designs to a memory stick.
To burn the JEF format folder to a CD you will first need to drag and drop or copy and paste the JEF format folder from the CD drive to the C:\ drive in your computer. To do this follow the steps listed below.
To move files by dragging:
In My Computer or Windows Explorer, find the file or folder you want to move.
Make sure the place you want to drag the file or folder to is visible.
Drag the file or folder to the destination folder.
Notes
If you right-click to drag, a menu appears with the available options.
If you drag a file or a folder to a location on the same drive, it will be moved. If you drag it to another drive, it will be copied.
You can create a copy of a file and move it at the same time by pressing CTRL while you drag the file to a new location.
To copy and paste a file or folder:
In My Computer or Windows Explorer, click the file or folder you want to move.
On the Edit menu, click Copy.
Open the folder where you want to put the file or folder.
On the Edit menu, click Paste.
Notes
To select more than one file or folder, hold down the CTRL key, and then click the items you want.
You can also move a file or folder by dragging it to the desired location.
To select a folder in the left pane of Windows Explorer, click the folder.
Once you have the JEF format folder on your c:\ drive then proceed to burn this folder to a CD. For information on how to do this please refer to the help section in your CD burner program.
To put the designs onto a memory stick, copy and paste the individual JEF formatted designs from the JEF folder on the CD drive to a memory stick for use in this machine.
