Using ofm/Melco Object Files with Viking Designer Series Machines
Viking Designer series machines read from a 3.5" high density floppy disk.
However, the machine has it's own specific format (language) of .shv.
The .ofm/Melco object file needs to be saved to .hus/Husqvarna format in Dakota Sizer or AlphaSizer.
Next, open the Designer series compatible computer embroidery software
program called DISK MANAGER. In DISK MANAGER, open the .hus/Husqvarna file.
Click the button on the toolbar to prompt the program to write the design to a 3.5
high density floppy disk for the machine. During the transferring of the file, the design is
converted to the necessary .shv format that the machine reads. Users of the Designer
series machines must have DISK MANAGER for creating the .shv format the machine uses.
Additionally, Tajima (.dst) files can also be opened in DISK MANAGER.
