Simply follow the design's color change sequence in Dakota Collectibles'
Full Color Workbook. The color change sequence indicates when to "apply foam"
and when to "tear foam" away. An example of a design with the text follows.
The bold type lettering is the same as would be found in the Full Color Workbook.
The italicized instructions describe what to do and have been added here.
Outline - Using 'red' thread, stitch an outline where the foam should be placed. (Apply Foam) - Place a piece of 'red' foam over the outline stitch.
Red - Using 'red' thread stitch over the foam to attach it. (Tear Foam) - Gently tear away the excess foam.
Outline - Using 'yellow' thread, stitch an outline where the foam should be placed. (Apply Foam) - Place a piece of 'yellow' foam over the outline stitch.
Yellow - Using 'yellow' thread, stitch over the foam to attach it. (Tear Foam) - Gently tear away the excess foam.
Outline - Using 'green' thread, stitch an outline where the foam should be placed. (Apply Foam) - Place a piece of 'green' foam over the outline stitch.
Green - Using 'green' thread, stitch over the foam to attach it. (Tear Foam) - Gently tear away the excess foam.
TIP: A general rule of thumb would be to use thread and foam the same color as the
first color name in the text after the "Outline" stitch.
